GP NET EARNINGS

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in North Baddesley Surgery in the last financial year was £68,857 before tax and National Insurance.

This is for 1 full time GP and 5 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

In addition, GPs take home pay is reduced by additional professional expenses.  These include GMC fees, BMA fees, Royal College fees, Care Quality Commission fees and Professional Medical Indemnity insurance of approximately £10,000 per annum for a full time GP.
