The System – all patients have a named GP.

All routine appointments to see or speak with a Doctor are now released up to 2 weeks in advance. All routine can be either face to face or telephone. Our default is face to face, please let reception know if you need a telephone appointment.

If your medical condition cannot wait until the next routine appointment. Please phone reception for a duty appointment. It would help us to arrange appointments if you could ring before 10am. Our on the day appointments are to treat new problems or current problems that have become worse.

When you book any appointment the receptionists may ask for details of your problem. They are helping to identify which type of appointment can best meet the needs of the patient. It is not essential to give any details if you would prefer not to.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

Please note:

We are unable to deal with telephone request for prescriptions. These can be in writing, by contacting us online or emailing us via this website.

For test results please do not call before 2pm.

If you would like a relative or a friend with you, please introduce them at the beginning of the appointment.

If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know so that we can offer it to another patient.

Home visits

If you require an urgent home visit please telephone reception before 10:30am.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice or it may be more appropriate to send an alternative healthcare professional or arrange a hospital attendance.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
